Sitam is directed by the able hands of director Partho Ghosh, who has been involved in hit ventures like Agnishakshi which was a big hit on the box office. But this time around the movie isn’t backed by a big budget, also the lead cast of the movie consists of lesser known faces. The movie is a love triangle but with a twist as the movie heads towards its culmination. The movie starts well but as the story progresses the pace of the movie becomes very slow. The story of the movie focuses on the central character Raj ( KIran Janjani ), a rich spoiled brat. His mantra of life is that every thing can be bought by money. Girls in his life are just like any other thing, he use them for his pleasure and thrown them afterwards.

Sharmila ( Tara Sharma ) a beautiful model met Raj and she felt in love with him. Raj victimized her also. Raj went to a village to find a perfect housewife, he met Chandni, a lookalike of Sharmila. He fell for her and started convincing to mary her. Chandni rejected his proposal every time he approached her. Finally he was able to convince her by transferring his whole property to her name. She agreed to marry him and they came back to the city. The story takes a turnaround when Raj came to know that Chandni wasn’t the village girl of his dreams but a victim of his lavish lifestyle. The movie doesn’t have an appealing plot and is incapable of attracting big crowd to the theaters.
