Mithun Chakraborty, Shatrughan Sinha and Padmini Kholapure starrer bollywood action drama “Sagar Sangam” was released under the production of Dulal Guha on February 2, 1988 while the movie is directed by Dulal himself. The movie Sagar Sangam comes as an action and family drama movie that is filled with the bollywood masala. The movie is directed by an experienced director Dulal Guha who has wonderfully crafted the screenplay of the movie. Dulal is in this industry for more than three decades, he has given many hit from the time when he directed his first movie Ek Gaon Ki Kahani in 1957, and he never looked ever after. The music of the movie is wonderfully directed by the dynamic Bappi Lahiri who is famous for his westernized kind of music.

The story of the movie revolves around the main characters Gopal aka Gopi ( Mithun Chakraborty ) who is a very honest and a brave man while his friend Arjun Sharma ( Shatrughan Sinha ) is a police inspector by profession. Gopal came across a beautiful girl called Radha ( Padmini Kolhapure ) and was attracted towards her and soon both were in love with each other. On the other hand Arjun found his love interest in Subitra ( Anita Raaj ). After initial tussle both the leading actors teamed up together to fight against the evil Chagan Lal aka Dhayal dass ( Prem Chopra ).
