The movie Saccha Jhutha comes up as an action packed drama movie that revolves around a family drama story. The movie features Rajesh Khanna in double role and hence double entertainment. The story of the movie focuses on the life of a young man called Bhola ( Rajesh Khanna ) who lived with his young sister Belu ( Kumari Naaz ) in a small village. Belu was a handicap and Bhola wanted to earn money for her treatment and marriage hence he decided to move to Bombay to get a job in the field of music which he loves with a great passion. When he reached Bombay he realized how tough it is to make a career and living in Bombay.

One day he came across a man called Ranjeet Kumar ( Rajesh Khanna ), who looks completely like him. Ranjeet was a jewel thief and hence he found a chance in Bhola to gat a social name. He decided to make use of the innocence of Bhola. But in the meanwhile police inspector Pradhan ( Vinod Khanna ) was after Ranjeet, he wanted to arrest him at any cost. He decided to rope in female police officer Meena aka Rita ( Mumtaz ) to trap Ranjeet Kumar. Rita was very successful in alluring Ranjeet Singh into her trap, but in reality she was falling into Ranjeet’s trap as she was flirting with Bhola. What happens next?
