Heartthrob Salman Khan starrer bollywood movie “Saawan” was produced under the banner of Saawan Kumar Productions. The movie is directed by Sawan Kumar Tak and was released on April 6, 2006. Other cast of the movie includes Kapil Jhaveri, Saloni Aswani, Prem Chopra, Ranjeet, Bobby Darling, Kiran Rathod, Johny Lever and Sheela who have played important roles in the movie. The music of the movie is composed and directed by Aadesh Shrivastav, Sajid and Wajid. The songs of the movie are sung in the melodious voice of Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Kunal Ganjawala, Vasundhara Das, Jaspinder Narula and Shreya Ghosal.

The movie Saawan comes up with a very different kind of story that has never been told before. The movie although having a new plot is unable to translate into a great success. The story of the movie talks about a man who can predict the future he knows what is going to happen the very next hour. The whole story of the movie revolves around this man and his vision. The movie starts with two young people Raj (Kapil Jhaveri ) and Kajal (Saloni Aswani ) who accidently met in cape town. Raj fell in love with her at the very first sight but it took him time to convince her. When they returned back to Mumbai Raj told his father ( Ranjeet ) about marrying her. Meanwhile Kajal also told the same to her father ( Prem Chopra ) as well.

When their parents met together they realized that they were childhood friends. They were supposed to be engaged on the very next birthday of Kajal. Then comes a twist in the tale when Kajal was saved from an accident by a stranger ( Salman Khan ), the man told her that her father would die the same day and it came true. She started believing in him and asked about her future but unfortunately he told her that she is going to die after two days. Knowing the exact time of her demise she wanted to live the remaning time of her life to the fullest. The Veteran director Saawan Kumar is not able to translate his thoughts on to the screen very efficiently. Also Salman Khan and the other actors have done a priety ordinary show. Overall the movie is a lackluster on the box office.
