Arjun Rampal and Manisha Koirala starrer thriller “Moksha” was released under the banner of Ashok Mehta Visuals Pvt Ltd on November 30, 2001. The movie is directed by Ashok Mehta. The supporting cast of the movie in important roles includes Danny Denzongpa, Naseruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Gulshan Grover, Kiran Kumar, Sushma Seth, Saurabh Shukla, Farida Jalal, Archana Puran Singh, Mohan Gokhale, Kalpana Pandit, Suresh Oberoi and Kamal Chopra. The movie Moksha comes up with a unique story that could have been a very good movie on the box office but the director’s version of the narrative is totally confusing and hence takes the charm away from the story. The story of the movie revolves around the life of Vikram ( Arjun Rampal ), a young and honest man who is studing Law. Towards the completion of the degree he started dreaming of setting up an institution where everyone , poor or helpless can get the legal support without requiring any money. He is supported in this noble cause by his beloved girlfriend Ritika ( Manisha Koirala ).

The biggest roadblock in realizing his dreams of setting up the institution is the lack of funds. He tried to gather these funds from all sources he had but couldn’t manage anything. So, helpless Vikram and Ritika decided up on a plan to arrange money. To start their fight against crime and injustice they themselves had to do a crime, a crime of robbing a bank. Both made a pact that no one would let anybody know about their plan, but Ritika got afraid of executing their plan and tried to stop him, but they have gone that deep into the plan that there is no way back. Just on the day of robbery the bank got informed about the robbery by a girl on phone. The very next day Ritika was found murdered and Vikram was trialed in the court for murder. Who has committed the murder? Will the guilty be punished?
