Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty and John Abraham starrer action movie “Lakeer” was released on May 14, 2004. The movie is directed by Ahmed Khan under the banner of Vicky Films. Other cast of the movie includes Sohail Khan, Apoorva Agnihotri, Vrajesh Hirjee, Hemant Birje, Nauheed Cyrusi, Raj Zutshi, Suresh Chatwal and Avtar Gill who have played significant part. The popular songs of the movie are sung by Daler Mehndi, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Hariharan, Udit Narayan, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Sonu Nigam and Asha Bhonsale. Directed by choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan, Lakeer is an emotion story of relations and their related emotions. The movie is wonderfully packed and appears good. The initial half is very well presented but the story of the movie becomes too lengthy in the culminating period. The movie focuses on a variety of characters strongest of all is Arjun Rana ( Sunny Deol ), a big underworld don. Everyone knows his power and hence no one messes with him. His brother Karan ( Sohail Khan ) is a spoiled brat and is always playing with other peoples emotions and projects the power of his brother.

On the other end of the society is Sanju ( Sunil Shetty ), a car mechanic by profession, is a very aspiring man, he wants to be as rich and powerful as Arjun Rana. He has a younger brother Sahil ( John Abraham ), A college student who is in love with his college friend Bindiya (Nauheed Cyrusi ). Both the families were far apart from each other until one day when Karan and his friends bashed Sahil up. When Sanju came to know about this he went to the college and smashed Karan, he was badly injured and hospitalized. Now Arjun is all after him. The story of the movie is well crafted but is too lengthy in the second half. Overall the movie is not a show stealer even with its big star cast.
