Dino Morea and Namrata Shirodkar starrer bollywood movie “Insaaf” was released under the banner of Showman International on March 2, 2004. The movie is directed by Shrey Shrivastav. Other cast of the movie in important roles includes Sanjay Suri, Henna, Rajpal Yadav, Varun Vardhan, Amitabh Bachchan, Mohan Joshi, Cheetah Yagnesh Shetty and Srivallabh Vyas. The music of the movie is composed and directed by Nikhil and Vinay and the songs are sung by Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula and Sapna Awasthi.

Insaaf the story of justice is not new to the bollywood infact the plot has been presented in every third bollywood movie. The story of the movie is interesting but the director is not able to present it well on the celluloid. The movie is centered on the crime that powerful politicians instill on the society and the sufferers have to respite. Prasad ( Sanjay Suri ), is posted into some small town, he settles there with his wife Kunti ( Namrata Shirodkar ). Bunty ( Dayal ), the son of a rich politician dazzled by her beauty, raped her.

Prasad tried to get justice against the might of the politician but didn’t succeeded hence he committed suicide leaving shattered Kunti behind. When this shocking incident became an headline of the news papers, then the government appointed a team to investigate it. Abhimanyu ( Dino Morea ), an honest police officer is entrusted the job. He started investigation but the culprits easily got out of the case. Then Abhimanyu decided to bring Kunti herself to her feet and demand justice. The movie saw strong performances from the lead actors. Overall Insaaf is just another average movie on the block.
