Dharmendra and Jaya Prada starrer bollywood action movie “Ellan-E-Jung” was released under the production and direction of Anil Sharma on August 18, 1989. The supporting cast of the movie that has played significant roles includes Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Sudhir, Dara Singh Randhawa, Joginder, Anu Kapoor and Puneet Issar. The melodious music of the movie is composed and directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar, Anand Chitragupt, Milind Chitragupt and Pyarelal while the songs are sung by Mohammad Aziz, Asha Bonsle, Amit Kumar and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

The movie Ellan E Jung as its name suggests is a action movie, and it justifies Dharmendra being the lead actor of the movie. Dharmendra had a great history of being a action hero but he cannot be completely categorized as a action hero. He has delivered many comic performances in movies like Chupke Chupke which was a great comedy film released in 1975 while the movie also featured Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Baduri as the co actors. Ellan E Jung is directed and produced by very popular and experienced director producer Anil Sharma.

Both Dharmendra and Anil Sharma had teamed up before in b0llywood movie Hukumat, now in this movie the same team is back but somehow the story of the movie is not appealing enough as was the previous one. Dharmendra has played the role of leading actor wonderfully and so as did Jaya Prada who has performed equally well. The movie only lacks in its script and the screen play of the movie is also lack luster. The movie initially starts well but as it reaches the climax the action sequences become boring and hence the movie isn’t as good as was expected by everyone.
