Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor starrer “Bewafaa” was released on February 25, 2005. The movie is directed by Dharmesh Darshan under the banner of Sridevi productions. Other cast of the movie includes Sushmita Sen, Manoj Bajpai, Shamita Shetty, Kabir Bedi, Nafisa Ali, Supriya Karnik, Navneet Nishan and Benika Deepak. The melodious music of the movie is composed and directed by Nadeem Saifee and Shravan Kumar. Dharmesh Darshan directorial Bewafaa is a story of a woman who is torn between two men, her husband and her lover. The movie is very well narrated by the director in the first half but when the movie enters its penultimate half the movie becomes very slow and unattractive. The story of the movie revolves around a Canadian born Indian, Anjali ( Kareen Kapoor ), she is in love with a young talented upcoming singer Raja ( Akshay Kumar ). Her sister Arti ( Sushmita Sen ) lost her life delivering her twin daughters. Due to family pressure and unforeseen circumstances she was forced to marry her brother in law Aditya ( Anil Kapoor ).

Aditya is based in New Delhi and is a big business magnet. Anjali moved along with Aditya and started living a life of a housewife. But Aditya was always preoccupied with his work and never managed time for her or for his two daughters. The movie took a turnaround when Raja came to Delhi for a show. As the destiny would have it, Anjali met her lover again and they rejuvenated their relationship. Aditya’s friend Dil ( Manoj Bajpayi ) came to know about the extra martial affair of Anjali. Now Anjali has to choose one of them, who would she choose? The movie had a great music album, and wonderful performances from the lead actors. Overall the movie is a well narrated story and at the box office it is an instant seller.
