Ankahee is another movie from the Bhatt camp which tells about the real life story, in fact the story is based on the life of Mahesh Bhatt himself. The movie talks about the relations of a married man outside his married world. The concept of the movie is so common that every third bollywood movie comes up with the same plot, the only difference is the way director Vikram Bhatt narrates the story in a most compelling way. The story of the movie revolves around the life of Shekhar ( Aftab Shivdasani ) a doctor by profession, is married to a beautiful lady Nandita ( Amisha patel ). They have a little girl and their life seems very beautiful.

Everything changed one day when former Miss World and bollywood star Kaviya ( Esha Deol ) walked into the life of Shekhar. They met when she was brought into his hospital with a cut on her wrist. He helped her recover physically and emotionally, like any other young man he fell in love with the sheer beauty of her. She also started liking him as he was the only one who makes her life meaningful. When Shekher’s wife got the news of her husband’s illegal relations, her life was shattered. Kavya was also obsessed for Shekher as well. He was trapped between the liking of two women and his young daughter. Who should he choose? The movie is wonderfully directed by the director Vikram and also the lead actors have performed wonderfully. Overall the movie is a good watchable affair with its fare share of sensitivities and emotions.
