Karishma Kapoor and Bobby Deol starrer bollywood movie “Aashiq” was released under the banner of Shweta International on January 26, 2001. The movie is directed by Indra Kumar. The story of the movie is a typical bollywood love story where a rich girl and a poor guy fell in love with each other and the whole world get against and in the end the duo get together despite of all odds. The story of the movie revolves around the life of Chander aka Chandu ( Bobby Deol ), he is very friendly and happy go lucky kind of a person, but he is very shy while talking to girls. One day a girl a unknown girl ring him up on the phone and started flirting with him, soon he came to know that she was Pooja ( Karisma Kapoor ). Pooja is a beautiful young girl who belongs to a very rich family, Chandu fell in love with her at the very first sight.

While Chandu was all happy in his family and with the arrival of love in his life, Pooja on the other hand felt trapped in a prison at her home because her father was a chronic alcoholic who never cared about her. When her father didn’t approve of their love, she decided to ran away from her house but in the process she lands up in a big trouble, she got abducted by the mafia who wanted to sell her in the flesh market. The suspicion of abduction of Pooja was on Chandu and he was arrested by the police, he broke out of the jail and set out on the search of Pooja, he is ever determined to find her at any cost, risking even his life.
