Shatrughan Sinha, Govinda and Maushmi Chatterjee starrer bollywood action family drama “Aakhri Baazi” was released under the banner of Shakti Films on April 14, 1989. The movie is produced by Ashim Samanta while is directed by Shakti Samanta. Other cast of the movie includes Mandakini, Kunal Goswami, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Sonam, Pradeep Kumar, Sujit Kumar, Mac Mohan, Ardhendu Bose, Dinesh Thakur and Asit Sen. The story of the movie Aakhri Baazi comes up with a story that revolves around the tussle of underworld and the police department, the movie also presents the essence of true friendship. Based in the city of Calcutta the movie revolves around the life of Ram Kumar ( Govinda ) and his friend Laxman ( Kunal Goswami ). Ram Kumar is the younger brother of Prashant Kumar ( Shatrughan Sinha ) and they live with his wife Parvati Kumar ( Moushmi Chatterjee ). Laxman is a orphan and he also live with them. Ram and Laxman are very good friends of each other.

Time passed by and both Ram and Laxman grew into young men, Laxman joined the police department and started working very honestly. Impressed by the hardworking and honest attitude of Laxman, The police Commissioner entrusted him with the duty of investigating and arresting the underworld don Cobra ( Pradeep Kumar ). He started working on the case and soon he got some key breakthroughs but before he could cause any damage he was killed by the men of Cobra. Now Ram is filled with the revenge and he decided to kill Cobra and destroy his gang.
