Kunal Khemu, Soha Ali Khan and Cyrus Broacha starrer bollywood drama comedy “99” was released under the banner of People Pictures on May 15, 2009. The movie is produced by Anupam Mittal and Aditya Shashtri while the movie is directed by Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru. Other cast of the movie includes Boman Irani, Simone Singh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Vinod Khanna and Amit Mistry. The melodious music of the movie is composed and directed by Ashu, Roshan Machado, Shamir Tandon And Mahesh Shankar while the songs are sung by Raja Hasan, Ashu, Bonnie Chakraborty, Earl, K K, Sunidhi Chauhan, Labh Jajua, Kalyani, Roopa and Shaan.

After a 5 week long draught on the box office, with the release of 99 some respite came for the movie buffs that were thirsty to watch a movie in a theater. The movie 99 comes up with a real life story that is inspired by the real incidents that had happened in the recent past. The movie featured three leading characters Sachin ( Kunal Khemu ), Pooja ( Soha Ali Khan ) and Zaramud ( Cyrus Broacha ). Sachin and Zaramud are very good friends from long time, while Sachin is always filled with great ideas to generate money but he lacks the execution and he is very much ruined by Zaramud.

Both the friends run the illegal business of making the duplicate Sims and they always gets into trouble by their mischievous acts. One day they entered into a great problem when they dared to steal a car. In the process of running away with the car they met a bad accident and soon they realize that the car they stole belonged to gangster and bookie ( Mahesh Manjarekar ). Now he wants them to pay for his car. Here on starts the journey of run and chase, the movie moves from Mumbai to Delhi. In Delhi the movie portrayed Pooja as a typical Delhi girl who came across the two.
