Hit bollywood songs of Pardes

Shahrukh Khan and Mahima Chaudhary starrer Pardes is written and directed by ace filmamker Subhash Ghai. the other starcast of the film includes Amrish Puri, Aloknath and Apoorva Agnihotri. The movie was released on August 8, 1997. Music director duo Nadeem Shravan has given the music of the film. The list of the singers in the film includes tha names of Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Hema Sardesai, Hariharan, Kavita Krishanmurthy, Aditya Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Chitra. The movie did well at the box office and Mahima Chaudhary won the Filmfare Best Debut Award for her performance.

Kusum Ganga ( Mahima Chaudhary ) is a beautiful young Indian girl living in a rural village with her conservative Indian family headed by his father Suraj Dev ( Alok Nath ). Kishorilal ( Amrish Puri ), is a America based wealthy businessman, who is deeply attached to his motherland India despite of living in the foreign country for such a long time. He simply adores the culture of India. He visits India and meets his old friend Suraj Dev. He stays at their house and during his stay he gets attached to Suraj’s daughter Ganga. He offers a marraige proposal of his westernized son, Rajiv ( Apoorva Agnihotri ) and Gnaga to Suraj Dev. Dev’s family also accepts the proposal whole heartedly.

Kishorilal sends his foster son and close friend of Rajiv, Arjun ( Shahrukh Khan ) to convince him to visit India. Rajiv falls for Ganga and agrees to marry her. Meanwhile Arjun and ganga also becomes good friends. Ganga leaves for America with Kishorilal and Rajiv. But after reaching there, Ganga realises that Rajiv really isn’t the person which he looks from outside. She finds out thta Rajiv smokes, drinks and also had sexual relations with many girls. Ganga tells all the things to Arjun, who realises that he has fallen in love with her.
