Shiney Ahuja and Shilpa Shetty starrer Life In A Metro is directed by Anurag Basu. The other starcast of the film includes Kay Kay Menon, Sharman Joshi, Irrfan Khan, Dharmendra, Konkona Sen Sharma and Kangana Ranaut. The movie was released on 11 May 2007 under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. Music Director Pritam has composed the soulful melodious music of the film. The list of the singers includes the names of K.K., Pritam, Adnan Sami etc. The movie proved out to be a semi hit of that year.

The movie comprises of many stories running side by side in it. Ranjeet ( Kay Kay Menon ) is ammried to a a beautiful women, Shikha ( Shilpa Shetty ) and have a 6 year old daughter. Ranjeet has always neglected his duties towards his family. Ranjeet loves her secretary, Neha ( Kangana Ranaut ) and have intimate physical relationship with her. Rahul ( Sharman Joshi ) works in the same call center and s in love with her boss Neha.

On the other hand, Shikha also finds a friend named Akash ( Shiney Ahuja ), who is a struggling theatre artist. Akash was left by her wife because of his failures. They both spends time together and soon falls in love with each other. Shika’s aunt Vaijyanti ( Nafisa Ali ) is an old women. Amol ( Dharmendra ), vaijyanti’s first love, returns to India only to spend his last few years of his life with Vaijyanti.
