Hema Malini is a former bollywood actress who is also known as Dream Gril of Hindi Film industry. She was born on October 16, 1948. She is married to another former bollywood actor Dharmendra and have two beautiful daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Esha is also acting in bollywood films and trying to make her own ground in industry. Hema started off her acting career with a superflop film titled Sapno Ka Saudagar in which she shared screen space with veteran Raj Kapoor. She acted in severalflop films before she delievered her first big hit in the form of Johnny Mera Naam opposite Dev Anand.

She delivered a series of hit films with many bollywood actors like Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Jeetendra, Dev Anand etc. She shared scree space with Sanjeev Kumar in Seeta Aur Geeta and managed to deliver another hit. Her performance also earned her the Filmfare Best Actress Award. Later she insisted on doing films with Dharmendra only and few years later they get married to each other. Many other bollywood stars were also after her but in the end Dharmendra won the race.

After working as a lead actress in several bollywood films she decided to direct a film on her own. She directed Shahrukh Khan and Divya Bharti in her film titled Dil Ashna hai but the movie failed so miserably at the box office window that she decided to never direct a film in her future. She was then seen in two hit films, Baghban and Veer Zara, opposite Amitabh Bachchan. however, her last movie titled Babul failed to do well at the box office.
