Akshaye Khanna, Pryanka Chopra and Dino Morea starrer family drama “Aap Ki Khatir” was released on the 25th of august, 2006. The movie is directed by Dharmesh Dharshan under the banner of Venus Records & Tapes. The director Dharmesh Darshan has the history of being involved in the movies which portrays the family drama. His films like Raja Hindustani and Bewafa have been the pioneers in the tension between the relations of a family, may it be a husband wife or someone else coming between them. The movie Aap Ki Khatir also comes into this category of movies but with a subtle difference, the relations in this movie are a bit complicated. One guy is having an affair with a girl and then having with her sister also. The movie gets bit more complicate when this guy’s best friend marries one of the sisters. The story is centered on a London based family.

Anu ( Priyanka Chopra ), after her breakup with Danny ( Dino Morea ) settled in Mumbai but she had to return back for her sister Shirani’s ( Amisha Patel ) wedding in London. Coincidently Shirani is being married to Kunal (Suniel Shetty ) who happens to be the best friend of Danny. So to make Danny feel jealous Anu hires Aman ( Akshaye Khanna ), to play her boyfriend in front of Danny. With a twist in the tale another layer unfolds and anu came to know that after her breakup with Danny, he had an affair with he sister as well. This truth shocked the whole family and the new forming relations. While playing as her boyfriend Aman started feeling for Anu but she had Danny in her mind. Every thing gets complicated. The story during the climax becomes very boring and this takes the sheen away from the movie.
