Super hit action thriller “Don - The Chase Begins Again” was produced Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Films. The movie is directed by Farhan Akhtar and was released on October 20, 2006. The lead roles of the movie are portrayed by Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. Actors like Arjun Rampal, Isha Koppikar, Om Puri, Chunky Pandey, Pawan Malhotra, Boman Irani, Sushma Reddy and Diwakar Pundir have also played significant roles. Music director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has given wonderful music to the hit songs of the movie. The movie is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan starred Don. The music tracks have been sung by the likes of Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, Udit Narayan, Shahrukh Khan, Alisha Chinoy, Mahalakshmi Iyer and Sonu Nigam.

Despite being a remake of the superhit Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don, the newer version comes with a new flavor and with freshness introduced by Farhan Akhtar. Director Farhan Akhtar has tried his best to make the film more interesting and thrilling but is unable to do that, original DON was far more entertaining than this. The story starts with a startling fact but then shifts to the flashback where the drug trade is on a boom in India with the Southeast Asia and Europe. The biggest underworlds Gang lead by Singhania ( Rajesh Khattar ) and managed by his right hand Don ( Shahrukh Kahan ) have moved their base to Kuala Lumpur.

Indian special officer Desilva ( Boman Irani ) is on a hunt for this gang, He knows that the key to get this drug trade closed he has to catch Don first. One fine day he succeeds in his mission and is able to capture Don. He plants a look-alike of Don, Vijay into the gang successfully. He provides Desilva with important information and details about the gang which would have been sufficient to bring every one behind the bars. Here comes a twist in the tale, officer Desilva was killed in a raid. Now Vijay is thought to be the real don by everyone, except the members of Don’s gang and they tried killing him. The rest of the movie shows how Vijay collects evidence of his innocence with the help of Roma ( Priyanka Chopra )and Jasjit ( Arjun Rampal ).
